One of the jewels of the Mesa region is scenic Roosevelt Dam. Built on the Salt River, which flows from the mountains in New Mexico. It is oriented to face the Sun when it is in the West.

A grand scene, with gorgeous color. The river, as you see, is itself a lovely scene. When I was here a year ago, I had such glorious weather that everything looked beautiful—especially this dam and bridge!
